Job Overview
As a Class A CDL Driver with a dedicated route at Clean Harbors, you will be responsible for transporting both hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and efficiently. Operating a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks, including roll-offs, you will ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations while supporting a team atmosphere.
This position offers an excellent work-life balance with Monday to Friday schedules and the option to be home on weekends. Overnight routes to Canada with hotel and per diem provided are part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all company and DOT regulations
- Operate Class A commercial trucks and assist field laborers when necessary
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Properly placard vehicles according to regulatory standards
- Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and reports accurately
- Follow local, state, provincial, and federal compliance rules
- Participate in emergency response on an on-call rotating basis
- Perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling as required
- Collaborate with your team to fulfill customer needs
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Class A CDL license (mandatory)
- Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Previous hazardous materials handling experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role
- Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance
- Basic proficiency with mobile devices
- Must successfully pass background check, drug test, and physical exam
